A tasty treat from England
Method
Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius without the fan.
In a bowl, place the flour, add the baking powder, sugar, thyme, smoked black pepper and mix.
Add the grated cheese and butter and stir. Knead by hand until the butter dissolves.
Add the ham and stir.
Add the milk gradually and stir with a knife and finish by hand until you have a dough that holds together.
Place the dough on a floured surface and spread it with a rolling pin so that it is even and about one and a half centimeters thick.
With a small ring cut round pieces and place them upside down in a pan with baking sheet.
Glaze it with a little milk.
Sprinkle with grated cheese
Bake for 12 minutes

A pinch of salt
a little ham
1tsp sugar
1tsp thyme
1tsp smoked paprika
120g mixed cheeses
60 g butter
100ml milk plus a bit more for glazing
black pepper
